A dainty Tiarella that develops lots of long trailing stems of heart-shaped green leaves each with a distinct conker brown centre that peters out towards the edges leaving a fresh green margin. From April through May small spikes of frothy white flowers appear, deliciously contrasting with the foliage.
New to the nursery in 2017, we were impressed by its vigour and performance. Like other Tiarella it prefers a cool, damp fertile soil often found in deciduous woodlands, but does not want to be waterlogged. Display its striking foliage to advantage in a hanging basket on the shady side of a house or over the top of shady retaining wall. Or capitalise on its natural desire to spread by planting it as attractive groundcover helping to keep the weeds down.
