Astrantia major 'Alba'
Height x Spread: 40cm x 50cm
Prized for its enchanting white flowers, each with a pincushion centre and ruff of green tipped bracts, this iconic cottage garden plant is a great choice for the front of a partially shaded border where its blooms will really shine out.
Much beloved by bees and butterflies its flowers are brilliant for cutting and drying too. Blooming for ages in summer, it will reflower in autumn if cut down hard after its first flush. It performs best planted in a good soil in light shade, but needs more moisture in full sun.
