Clusters of deep pink flowers born on short sturdy stems above glossy crinkled foliage appear initially in spring and then at intervals until autumn. The lustrous foliage of this easy evergreen 'Elephant's Ears' really makes it stand out.
In autumn the green leaves become deeply flushed red-purple, making it a truly striking addition to any autumn/winter garden. To achieve the most colourful foliage display, plant in a sunny site in fertile, moist but free-draining soil and mulch in the autumn. This plant can, however, tolerate a dryer and shadier spot.
