Height x Spread: 180cm x 60cm
Dense spires of double lavender blue flowers, each with a white bee, are produced in a stunning mid summer display above divided green foliage. Not a shy and retiring herbaceous perennial, place it where its statesmanlike structure and rich blue colour can be best appreciated. Within a border it can provide dramatic vertical punctuation, adding rhythm and helping to draw the eye around the garden.
Due to its height it may need some staking. If you cut down the faded initial flower stems it will encourage a second flush in late summer. It needs full sun and a good soil that is free draining to perform.
Harmful if eaten.
