'Kashmir Purple' forms large, saucer-like purple flowers with darker veining and paler centres, over bushy clumps of finely divided mid-green foliage. Remove spent flower stems and old foliage to encourage fresh growth.
An iconic cottage garden perennial, it is often planted beneath white, pink or yellow roses to compliment their blooms and disguise the lower stems. In its preferred growing conditions this strong plant will clump up quickly, delivering useful ground cover for larger areas. For the best performance, plant it in free draining soil with some richness in full sun.
