Lathyrus latifolius is commonly known as Everlasting Pea, this is a perennial climbing Sweet Pea that uses tendrils to climb. The green foliage is pinnate with pure white pea-like flowers during mid-summer.
Everlasting Pea is not fussy about the soil as long as it is reasonably good. An ideal climber for your borders and beds, to cover a wall etc. providing the situation is in full sun or partial shade. Its often used to scramble down banks and slopes. 'Albus' is toxic if ingested.
All parts of this plant are toxic.
