Like a cheery display of miniature turkish hats, 'Pagoda's' flowers really capture the eye in a late spring/early summer garden.  Delicately formed with reflex yellowy-green petals and long stamens, they gently nod upon slender chocolate stems over lush basal foliage.

Preferring dappled or part shade, they are ideal for lighting up a shadier area of the garden or underplanting deciduous shrubs, as once they have flowered the foliage dies back completely, politely making way for later flowering plants, only to reappear again next spring.  Combine with purple leaved AJUGA reptans 'Catlin Giant', BERGENIA 'Bach' and EPIMEDIUM for a graceful mix of textures and colours.  'Pagoda' will thrive in a fertile and humus-rich, free draining soil that does not dry out.
