Sanguisorba has become very popular over the last few years with designers and gardeners alike. 'Pink Tanna' is one of the best pink forms of 'Meadow Great Burnet', producing lots of elongated tightly bobbled reddish-pink buds from which fluffy white stamens gradually open like tiny bottle brushes. Flowering from July through to September, the overall effect is very light and graceful, the flowers gently weaving in the breeze on slender vertical stems.
Perfect for adding movement and transparency into a herbaceous border, planting in groups increases impact without density. Its naturalistic looks make it ideal for a damp meadow, especially combined with ornamental grasses such as Molinia. This veritable bee magnet thrives in a moist but free draining soil in sun or partial shade.
