Height x Spread: 45cm x 30cm
Blousy, cream/yellow flowers with a speckled purple hue appear during the summer. The edge of the petals are slightly ruffled. Strap-like, green leaves form clumps beneath the blooms. Roscoea x beesiana is thought to be a hybrid of Roscoea auriculata and Roscoea cautleyoides.
Roscoea prefers humus-rich soil that is fairly free draining and slightly acid, in a shady or partially shady location. This stunning plant would look fantastic in a woodland situation or on shady banks and slopes, as well as in your borders and beds. Roscoea emerges in very late spring, be careful not to dig this plant up by accident.
