Imposing flower spikes of large greenish-white flowers with pink bracts, are carried upright over broad rosettes of hairy, mid green wrinkled leaves. The whole of this short-lived perennial/biennial is aromatic. This Salvia produces flowers from May through to August.
In full bloom, this 'Clary Sage' is a true sight to behold. It is a veritable bee magnet, that makes a fabulous addition to a white or cottage garden border. This biennial will readily self-seed, but flower every other year. For an annual flower display, sow seeds every year. It grows best in a well-drained soil with some moisture, in full sun.
