Pale pink star-like flowers are held in dense clusters on robust stems, with succulent, oval, pale grey-green leaves with a broad white margin. This Sedum is much admired for its distinctive variegated foliage but the flowers have great value too. Very attractive to bees, they last from late summer into autumn and produce seedheads that stay upright throughout winter.
Low maintenance, it is a great candidate for a cottage garden style border, but its ability to tolerate drought makes it ideal for a gravel or Mediterranean style garden too. In late May, cut one third of the stems back by half to prolong flowering. 'Frosty Morn' performs best in any reasonably fertile soil, that is well drained in a hot, sunny site.
