Seed trays or pots in a warm light environment
Sow thinly and cover lightly with compost. Transplant to pots when large enough to handle then plant out into the herbaceous border from May onwards. Prefers a well-drained but moist, fertile soil and a sunny position. Rhizomes can be divided in autumn once well established.
