'Polestar' is a very unusual and interesting award-winning Hydrangea, which stands out not only for its long flowering period but also size.  Very neat and compact, its first clusters of flowers open in early summer. Initially palest green, the blooms take on a soft pink flush, progressively darkening to rosy pink as autumn approaches, set off by glossy green foliage.

A fabulous choice for a small terrace or garden, where plants have to work hard to earn their place, it would look wonderful planted in a container or as edging to a path or bed, offering additional winter interest through structure and seedheads.  It needs full sun or part shade in a rich, moist but free-draining soil enriched with humus to flourish.

Harmful if ingested.
