INDIGOFERA splendens

Well drained soil
Pot Size

Height x Spread: 100cm x 60cm

A striking shrub with slightly informal arching stems full of delicate rosy pink flowers and compound apple green leaves.  From July into September it puts on a long lasting display, injecting colour into the garden just when earlier flowering plants are starting to fade helping to bridge the infamous 'August slump'.

Hardy in all but the coldest areas of the UK, it prefers a sunny situation and a free draining soil away from winter cold and wet.  An interesting specimen plant for a courtyard or cottage garden, if you are in a colder area, why not grow it in a planter and protect it in a greenhouse or garage over the winter.
