ASTILBE 'Hennie Graafland' (simplicifolia hybrid)

Part shade
Moisture retentive soil

Height x Spread: 50cm x 50cm

A compact, neat form of Astilbe bearing fluffy, feather-like plumes of delicate pale pink with very finely divided leaves.  Bronze tinted on initial appearance, they turn dark green as they mature.  Attractively scented, 'Hennie Graafland' is at its best in mid summer.

Plant it close to water in a bog garden, so that you can enjoy its floriferous reflection and later on the dark bronze seed heads.  Happy to grow on heavy clay soils, it needs full sun or part shade in a moisture retentive soil.
