Description

Height x Spread: 45cm x 30cm

Primula florindae is commonly known as the Giant Cowslip which is native to Tibet. Broad oval leaves form a neat rosette at the base of tall slender stems, which bear large clusters of dainty yellow nodding bell-shaped flowers with a wonderful fragrance.

Perfumed/sensory gardens and wildlife gardens will be all the richer if this perennial is added to their planting. Divide during the spring to create more plants. Moist soils are preferable providing they have a pH of acidic to neutral. Situations alongside watercourses or in bog conditions are perfect. Sun or part shady areas are best.
