A superb Hardy Fern for a dry soil. Fronds are apple green, hairy on top and silver underneath. Cheilanthes resent moisture, plant in a sunny or semi-shaded soil that does not get too wet. T -20 deg. C. if kept dryish in winter. Evergreen.
