Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Producing dark purple-pink flowers in late summer, this Eutrochium has the same flower size as the taller varieties but on a shorter plant.
The clumps will form quickly and division every other year is a good idea. They are easy to grow and will tolerate heavier soils which are moisture retentive. They are loved by butterflies and other beneficial insects, so are brilliant for a wildlife garden. Leave the clumps standing at the end of the flowering season to enjoy their seed heads during the winter months.
