Bere Mill Open for the National Garden Scheme - Sunday 11th March

Rupert & Elizabeth Nabarro are welcoming visitors to their beautiful garden this Sunday. Despite the tragic fire which destroyed much of their home just a few weeks ago they are determined to carry on as normal. If you are visiting Hardy's this Sunday why not pop along to Bere Mill and help raise money for the NGS charities whilst enjoying a relaxing wander beside the River Test.

On the Upper Test with water meadows and wooded valleys, this garden offers herbaceous borders, bog and Mediterranean plants as well as a replanted orchard and two small arboretums. Features incl early bulbs, species tulips, Japanese prunus, peonies, wisteria, irises, roses, and semi-tropical planting.

At heart it aims to complement the natural beauty of the site, and to incorporate elements of oriental garden design and practice. The working mill was where Portals first made paper for the Bank of England in 1716. Find out more here www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/19432/
