Ageratina altissima Lucky Symphony ('Allsympho')

Height x Spread:  60cm x 50cm

This late Summer/Autumn flowering herbaceous perennial produces clusters of small pale pink flowers from dusky rose coloured buds which are beloved of beneficial pollinators. The flowers are produced on dark stems over the deep green foliage. This upright, elegant plant will provide your garden with colour and interest when so many other plants are slowly drifting past their prime.

Its stiff stems make it a fantastic cut flower. Not as tall as some of its sisters this plant lends itself to cottage garden schemes, wildlife gardens and open prairie planting styles and looks fantastic paired with Miscanthus sinensis 'Malepartus'. It likes to be grown in full sun or part shade in rich neutral to alkaline soils.

Clump forming, this plant looks great as a stand-alone feature or arranged ‘en masse’. Best in a sheltered site in a west or easterly location, mulch in late Autumn to prevent the new Spring shoots from becoming frost burned. Faded flower stems can be cut back at the base.
