Pure white flower spikes appear in late spring over glossy dark green foliage.
This very compact form of Bugle is much prized by designers for its bright white and green combination, which shines out of shadier areas of the garden. It naturally knits together to form good ground cover beneath trees and shrubs, but also works well as edging to a woodland path. The soil needs to be moisture retentive but not boggy.
