With its exotic combination of dark, dark shiny purple foliage with neat serrations and dense clusters of pale smokey pink umbels carried on upright dark red stems, this recently introduced Angelica is sure to add some real drama to your garden or border, especially combined with fresh green foliage plants. 

Architectural and very striking, the flowerheads appear in early summer before developing attractive seed heads that can last through autumn and look stunning touched by frost.  Robust and easy to look after, this short-lived perennial/biennial is also perfect for attracting pollinators such as bees, hoverflies and beetles.  Tolerant of both sun and part shade, it can survive in most soils including heavy clay but dislikes well-drained conditions.
