Commonly known as Branched St Bernard's Lily, Anthericum ramosum produces spikes of open, white, starry flowers above grass-like, blue-green foliage in mid-summer.
This unusual plant thrives in free-draining soil in full sun, making it ideal for a gravel garden where its naturalistic form can be showcased. As the stems branch at height, it produces a generous quantity of flowers, increasing its impact considerably. It can self-seed a little, but unwanted seedlings are easy to remove and do not become large plants. It mixes well with bulbs for year-round interest.
