Description

Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Ruby Port'

Height x Spread: 60cm x 30cm

This is a stunning spurless double flowered form of columbine, that produces masses of nodding ruby flowers with a delicate yellow green eye in early summer.

It combines beautifully with spring flowering lime green Euphorbia, dark purple almost black flowers and foliage, plus dark maroon-red Paeonia 'Buckeye Belle'.  Plant it in part shade or sun in a good soil and it will thrive. It is a short lived perennial so you will need to replant after 3-4 years to have plants that continue to give a great amount of flower.

Available for Mail Order from April - August
