Athyrium filix-femina
Height and Spread: 50cm x 50cm
This species of lady fern has stunning lance-shaped finely divided fronds, which are a luscious green colour from autumn through to spring. This deciduous fern is a vigorous grower often forming delightful clumps of foliage.
In regards to soil, it is happy providing the pH is acidic to neutral and the type is humus-rich. It does need a sheltered position in dense or dappled shade. Superb as an underplanter for roses and shrubs.
