Bergenia ciliata 'Wilton'

Bergenia ciliata varieties are all deciduous so lose their leaves in the winter. This means as they come into flower in the spring the flowers are borne above the fresh new hairy leaves as they open.

This cultivar has huge leaves, the size of dinner plates, and covered in fine hairs. They prefer a shady position out of the sun in a moist but free draining soil.
