Bergenia 'Harzkristall'
Height x Spread: 40cm x 50cm
Sprays of white flowers that fade to pink from late winter to spring held on upright reddish brown stems above small rounded rippled leathery leaves. This compact evergreen form of 'Elephant's Ears' may have a more delicate appearance due to its smaller leaf size, but it is just as tough as its larger leaved cousins.
Perfect for smaller areas of ground cover it also works well as planting on banks and slopes, edging and in informal gardens. This plant will welcome a spot with humus-rich moist soil that drains well. It can tolerate a sunny or partially shaded site but will not enjoy hot, dry conditions.
