Centaurea cheiranthifolia
Height x Spread: 45cm x 40cm
This clump-forming Cornflower has lance-shaped grey-green leaves with slightly serrated margins. It is less vigorous than Centaurea montana and bears much larger, butter yellow flowers during early summer.
Centaurea cheiranthifolia is happiest when grown in a well-drained soil in full sun. Cornflowers are tolerant of salt spray making them ideal for coastal situations.
