Chelone obliqua

Chelone obliqua commonly known as Turtlehead due to its distinctive two-lipped, pink tubular flowers which it bears atop stiff upright stems with deep green leaves, during the autumn. The flowers are followed by attractive seedpods which persist throughout the winter months and look fabulous when covered with frost.

It can be planted in any reasonable, moisture retentive soil and prefers a sheltered location in either a sunny or partially shaded location.
