'Bishop of Leicester' is a leafy, clump-forming tuberous perennial from the Dahlia Bishop Series. Flowerheads of pale lavender petals with darker central lavender stripe and striking yellow-brown eye, contrast beautifully with deep bronze-purple foliage.
Not only a knock-out border or container plant, it is a long-lasting cutflower too, benefitting from regular deadheading. In colder areas, lift, dry and store tubers frost-free once autumn frosts have blackened the foliage. In milder areas tubers can be left in but protect the crown with mulch. It grows best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
