Dianthus knappii

Commonly known as Knapp Carnation, Dianthus knappii produces single, pale yellow flowers each around 2cm in size held high on erect stems during summer . The evergreen foliage below is a grey green colour. 

Keep deadheading to prolong the flowering season. These subtle buttermilk coloured flowers are great for edging the front of a border or using in an alpine garden. It is a native of Eastern Europe and thrives in well-drained soils in a sunny situation.
