Description

Euphorbia schillingii

Height x Spread: 90cm x 60cm

A more open, clumping form of Euphorbia with vivid lime green bracts that boldly contrast with its shiny, green, spear-like leaves, marked with a striking central rib.

Native to Nepal, E. schillingii emerges in spring with lush, almost tropical foliage, edged in red.  Strongly architectural in form, it delivers interest over several seasons, its bright bracts appearing from mid summer to mid autumn.

Relatively unfussy, it prefers a dappled shade position in any moist but free-draining soil, but can tolerate more sun too.

Harmful if eaten, the sap is an irritant to skin and eyes.
