Geranium 'Hexham Velvet'

Height x Spread: 25cm x 60cm

G. Hexham Velvet has a very long flowering season, June to October if the weather is favourable. It emerges from the ground in late spring, so be patient, it's worth the wait.

Long flower stems bear intense, magenta pink to purple flowers and mottled green foliage. If allowed it will clamber its way through surrounding plants, a trait it has inherited from its parent plant, G. wallichianum. Old flowering stems can be cut back throughout the season to encourage new growth and even more flowers. This floriferous Geranium is loved by pollinators.

Fully hardy in the UK, it prefers to be planted in dappled or part shaded in fertile, moist but free draining soil of any pH. Ensure it's not too crowded.

Ideal for semi-shaded, courtyard, city, cottage and informal gardens as well as raised beds, large containers, and borders. A versatile and easy to grow plant that packs a punch.
