Tiarella cordifolia

Commonly known as Foam flower, Tiarella cordifolia is native to North America. This low growing, spreading perennial has maple leaf-shaped green leaves which turn bronze in autumn. Flower spikes bear masses of foamy, star-like, cream flowers during spring.

A fantastic ground cover perennial, which will thrive in a moist, humus-rich soil but will equally tolerate a wide range of soil conditions as long as they don't stay very wet over winter.  Great for adding a delightful burst of colour to a shady situation. Often used to underplant shrubs and roses or used at the front of shady borders.
