Description

Campanula glomerata 'Caroline'

Height x Spread: 45cm x 60cm

Ever so pretty, 'Caroline' is one of those plants that just draws your eye, with its tightly packed rounded clusters of pale purple bell-like flowers with deeper tinted tips gazing skywards above a gently spreading sea of heart-shaped foliage.  Flowering from May to June, the plant does die back hard in winter leaving little to see above the ground, so it may be wise to mark where it is to avoid digging it up.

Perfect for attracting pollinators to your garden it is also said to be rabbit resistant.  Very hardy and needing little attention, it is a good choice for the front of a border in a time pressed garden.  It performs best in a nutrient rich, moist but free draining soil in sun or partial shade.
