Ipheion uniflorum 'Froyle Mill'
Height x Spread: 15cm x 30cm
This form of spring starflower is much admired for its profuse and long flowering display of honey scented, deep violet star-shaped flowers over fragrant, light green grass-like foliage during late winter and early spring.
'Froyle Mill' is a summer deciduous plant which means it dies back during the summer. So take care not to dig this chap up, as he will reappear during the winter!
Ideally this Ipheion needs a well-drained fertile soil in full sun to thrive. A perfect candidate for a rock or gravel garden, it is also great for under-planting deciduous shrubs or roses.
