Lamprocapnos spectabilis Valentine ('Hordival'PBR)

This clump-forming perennial — previously known as Dicentra — produces delicate red heart-shaped flowers on dark, arching stems above deeply divided green foliage in late spring.

Commonly known as Bleeding Heart, 'Valentine' is ideally planted in a sheltered spot in partial shade with humus-rich soil. It is a beautiful choice for planting under shrubs and roses, or at the front of shady beds and borders.

All parts of this plant are toxic.
