Lathyrus vernus is commonly known as Spring Vetchling, this variety has pea-like flowers that are nearly blue in colour hence the name. Flowers appear during spring over clump-forming foliage that is pinnate and green in colour.
Great for shade in any reasonable good soil. A sublime underplanter for shrubs and can even be used to underplant trees much like a woodland. It is also fantastic for planting at the front of your borders and beds.
All parts of the plant are toxic.
