Clusters of nodding, jade-green flower bracts on pale purple-green stems are produced in early summer, fading gently to shell-pink, above fresh green deeply cut foliage. Native to Mexico, it's flower heads are simply gorgeous and last for ages into autumn, as they do not lose form as they fade, simply becoming paper-like.
Great for cutting and drying, it is a fabulous addition to any border, combining beautifully with umbelliferas . It strong architectural form would also enhance a contemporary space, adding structure and texture. Hardy in all but the coldest winters, it will thrive in a sunny or lightly shaded site in well-drained soil.
