Tall spikes bear blooms of clear white flower during summer.
A position in partial shade in the border is ideal for this plant, it will show up well against dark foliage plants including shrubs. The upright growth of the plant is mainly made up of the flowering stems with the basal foliage forming a tidy clump below. A reasonably fertile soil is best.
