Large blousy double, bright yellow blooms with red markings at the base of each petal, appear during the summer. 'Bartzella' has tall, upright standing foliage which lasts into the autumn. It is an ITOH intersectional hybrid, a cross between a herbaceous and a tree peony, it has the long flowering time associated with a tree peony but its stature is smaller making it an ideal choice for small gardens or for planting towards the front of flower borders.

An outstanding performer, 'Bartzella' is an extremely popular hybrid Peony. It performs best when planted in a sunny location in a reasonably good, well-drained soil. It can be planted in containers or your flower beds and borders plant it in a prominent position where it will become a showpiece. The flowers can be cut for flower arrangements too.

'Bartzella' is toxic if consumed.
