Pulmonaria  'Pretty in Pink'

Height x Spread: 35cm x 55cm

Pulmonaria are much-loved stalwarts of the shady garden, proper 'good do-ers' that just keep doing what they are meant to do, brightening up a cold grey spring day with beautiful flowers over attractive foliage.  'Pretty in Pink' is no exception forming clusters of single clear rosy pink bell-like flowers, each picked out with a darker pink centre, that are held on sturdy stems just above rosettes of mid green leaves sprinkled with silver markings.

Its tendency to spread gently sideways make it ideal for edging a path through a dappled woodland garden or as handsome groundcover from spring into late autumn when the leaves finally start to die back. Thriving in humus-rich, moist soil in light or part shade, it is fairly tolerant of most soils bar the very dry.  As a valuable source of food for early pollinators it is a must-have for your wildlife garden too.
