Commonly known as Grass-leaved Buttercup, Ranunculus gramineus forms low tufts of grass-like, blue/green lance-shaped foliage. During late spring bright yellow buttercup flowers appear, held on upright stems.

A superb drought tolerant perennial it is ideal for gravel gardens due to its ability to thrive in well-drained soils and a sunny spot. Grass-leaved Buttercup should be planted towards the front of your beds and borders. This Ranunculus is summer deciduous, after flowering it will die away becoming dormant throughout the summer months, before reappearing the flowing spring. Be careful not to mistakenly dig it up.
