SIDALCEA 'Rose Queen'

Fertile soil
Pot Size

Height x Spread: 120cm x 60cm

Clusters of upright spikes of vivid, large, rose-pink flowers with gently fringed petals, are carried high above rounded, mid green basal foliage. This gorgeous form of 'Prairie Mallow' is highly rated for its large, intense flowers which will add real delight to the middle of cottage garden or herbaceous border, flowering for weeks on end during summer.

It also combines very successfully with ornamental grasses and other perennials to form a more naturalistic 'prairie type' scheme. An excellent cut flower, cutting back hard the first flush of flowers to the ground, will encourage a second. It grows best in a light, reasonably fertile and humus-rich soil, that is free draining but retains some moisture, in full sun.
