Verbascum is commonly known as Mullein. Verbascum 'Royal Highland' produces tall spikes of apricot to yellow flowers during the summer, which stand above basal rosettes of green, slightly crinkly foliage.
'Royal Highland' is a great bed and border plant especially if you have well-drained soil. It will thrive in any soil providing it is not too moist and it is planted in a sunny situation. Gravel gardens are absolutely perfect for this perennial.
