Viola 'Coeur d'Alsace' (Vt)

Height x Spread: 10cm x 30cm

'Coeur d'Alsace' has rosy-pink flowers from winter to early spring, keep deadheading to encourage more flowers. Viola 'Coeur d'Alsace' was bred in France and is believed to have crossed the channel in 1916.

Woodland gardens make the perfect setting for this perennial violet which flourishes in partial shade and humus-rich soil. The rose-pink flowers look sublime as edging for walkways and borders. Slopes look fantastic when covered in a variety of violets. And of course a small posy of fragrant violets picked in the middle of winter is beautiful.
