Viola odorata 'King of Violets' (dVt)

'King of Violets' has stunning large blue, double flowers with a white eye during spring. Heart-shaped green foliage forms a carpet beneath the highly fragrant blooms which are perfect for small bouquets. This perennial has a compact, mat forming habit.
Keep deadheading to prolong flowering. Cut the plant back after flowering to keep this perennial compact. Great for planting in partial shade, ideal for use in woodland gardens and underplanting of deciduous trees and shrubs or for growing in a pot. Humus-rich soil is best for Sweet Violets.
