Erigeron karvinskianus 'Lavender Lady'
Height x Spread: 15cm x 45cm
A colourful twist on a much-loved cottage and gravel garden favourite, the individual flowers of 'Lavender Lady' are larger and a gentle lavender hue compared with the initially white maturing to pink blooms of Erigeron karvinskianus. Producing the same effusive display from mid summer far into autumn, it just keeps on going happily flowering in conditions other plants would turn their noses up at. All it needs is a quick tidy up with scissors to encourage further growth.
Preferring a very free draining soil in full sun, it looks particularly effective in a gravel garden or edging a stone path, but we are also looking forward to all the delicious new combinations we can create in summer containers. Just picture it with Cosmos 'Antiquity' and a purple leaf Heuchera for summer long 'zing' or with Verbena officinalis var. grandiflora 'Bampton' and Stipa tenuissima for froth and texture.
