Hydrangea paniculata Vanille Fraise ('Renhy'PBR)

Height x Spread:  180cm x 180cm

'Vanille Fraise' is well-named for its glamorous floral display.  From mid-summer though to mid-autumn it carries very large cone-shaped clusters of creamy-white flowers that slowly mature to a delicious sugar-mouse pink, creating a eye-catching two colour effect that contrasts well with its green foliage.

Like many forms of Hydrangea, this shrub is not only attractive but also versatile suiting many styles of garden.  Perfect for adding impact to a mixed border or stylish sophistication to a town garden, it also makes a wonderful hedge and can cope with salty coastal air.  Whilst its long flowering period and delicate seedheads extend the season of interest, its blooms cut and dry beautifully too.  It thrives in a fairly fertile, humus-enriched, moist soil with good drainage in either full sun or part shade.

Harmful if ingested.
