Description

Teucrium ackermannii hort.

Height & Spread: 15cm x 30cm

This is a really useful and tough little plant that is great for edging paths and beds as well as use in containers. It is evergreen and has soft velvety, aromatic foliage and, from May to September, clusters of fragrant lavender flowers that are adored by bees and other pollinators.

To keep the plant producing flowers, cut back any spent stems as soon as they fade. Shape the plant in early spring. Best planted in free-draining, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. Ensure the plant isn’t sitting in excessive winter wet and it’ll be fully hardy in the UK.

Ideal for use in wildlife, coastal, gravel or scree gardens as well as rock gardens beds and borders. It also does well if placed in front of sun baked walls. Drought tolerant once established.
